We develop frames for Neyün artificial respirators
The year 2020 brought a lot of changes, and at FS Roma, we had to cope with the new needs that were emerging as the Covid19 pandemic progressed. In this way, in July of that year, we participated in the “Un Respiro Para Chile” project, which consisted in the manufacture of mechanical artificial respirators called Neyün -Breathe in Mapudungún- for the client companies Enaer, DTS and Famae. These metal frames produced by FS Roma total 36 and were tested in a real patient whose diagnosis was favorable as the days passed.
At the beginning of the launch activity, the Undersecretary of Defense, Cristian de la Maza, recognized “the Defense companies that, together with universities, reacted to the challenge, placing all their experience, engineering and production capacity to generate products innovative among which stand out the mechanical fans of today. The first corresponds to the Neyün project which, thanks to the work coordinated by Famae, Enaer and DTS, managed to build a fan in 36 days ”.
As FS Roma we are proud to have participated in this highly complex multidisciplinary adventure that was finally brought to Peru, where they continue to operate today.
